Mahindra Vision S Concept Unveiled Compact SUV For 2027 With NU-IQ Platform

The Mahindra Vision S concept made its debut on August 15, 2025, at the Freedom NU event, marking the first introduction of Mahindra’s modular, multi-energy NU_IQ platform . As part of the broader Vision 2027 strategy, the Vision S is the first of four new SUV concepts that Mahindra plans to produce, with its production-spec version slated for 2027 .


Platform & Size: Flexible & Compact

Built on the advanced NU_IQ monocoque platform, the Vision S is a compact sub-4m SUV, measuring under 4 meters in length, yet adaptable from about 3,990 mm up to 4,320 mm, with a wheelbase of approximately 2,665 mm . This platform supports petrol, diesel, hybrid, and electric powertrains, as well as front-wheel and all-wheel drive configurations .

Expected to slot below the Scorpio N, the Vision S will compete in the compact SUV segment alongside models like the XUV 3XO, Tata Nexon, Kia Sonet, and Hyundai Venue. Early estimates suggest a launch price between ₹10.50–17.50 lakh, with production beginning around January 2027 .
