Samsung has quietly launched a new laptop in the Galaxy Book lineup—the Galaxy Book 5 Edge 5G. The laptop recently appeared on Samsung’s UK website, offering advanced performance, built-in 5G, and smooth connectivity for people who work or travel frequently. It shows Samsung’s focus on bringing high-speed connectivity to portable devices.

The Galaxy Book 5 Edge 5G debuts on Samsung UK website with the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon X processor. This new chip is made for slim and light laptops, using octa-core power with speeds up to 3.0GHz. The laptop also includes an Adreno GPU for better graphics and a Hexagon NPU to handle smart AI features efficiently. It is certified as a Copilot+ PC, meaning it supports next-generation AI experiences built into Windows.
For visuals, the laptop features a 15.6-inch Full HD display with an anti-glare coating that makes it easy to use outdoors or under bright lights. In performance terms, it comes with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage, ideal for multitasking, entertainment, and productivity.
Samsung designed the Galaxy Book 5 Edge 5G to be lightweight and portable, with a thickness of only 15.5mm and a weight of 1.66kg. Despite its slim size, it includes several essential connectivity options: dual USB-C ports, one USB-A, HDMI 2.1, and a microSD card slot. It also supports Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, and 5G Sub-6 for seamless online access, even when traveling.
On the entertainment and communication side, the laptop offers Dolby Atmos-powered dual speakers and a 2MP webcam that makes video calls clear and natural. Battery life is another highlight—with up to 27 hours of runtime per charge and a 65W USB-C fast charger included in the box.
In the UK, the Galaxy Book 5 Edge 5G is priced at £949 (around $1,249) and is currently available in a sleek Sapphire Blue color with 16GB RAM and 512GB storage. However, Samsung has not yet confirmed if or when the device will launch in other countries.
