Indian Railways is set to redefine overnight travel with the launch of the First Vande Bharat Sleeper To Run Between Patna And New Delhi. A New Era of Overnight Rail Travel
The long-awaited Vande Bharat Sleeper Express is receiving final touches at the BEML factory. This train combines Tejas’s swiftness, Rajdhani’s comfort, and Vande Bharat’s technology in a dedicated sleeper configuration. Positioned as a premium option for high-speed night travel, it connects Patna and New Delhi, covering 1,000 kilometers in about eight hours. Indian Railways plans regular operations, six days a week with convenient overnight schedules, before the New Year.

The Vande Bharat Sleeper boasts an operational speed of 160 km/h, with a maximum capability of 180 km/h. Officials highlight its remarkable stability, ensuring a smooth journey even at top speeds.
