The highly anticipated wedding of Indian cricketer Smriti Mandhana has been postponed due to the sudden hospitalization of her father, Shrinivas Mandhana, who experienced heart-attack-like symptoms. Adding to the family’s distress, groom-to-be Palash Muchhal, a music composer, was also hospitalized due to emotional stress triggered by Shrinivas’s condition.
According to reports, Palash is deeply attached to Smriti’s father, and the news of his illness profoundly affected him. Palash’s mother, Amita Muchhal, revealed that he insisted on postponing the wedding until Shrinivas recovered, a decision made even before Smriti could react. Doctors suspect the elder Mandhana’s condition was brought on by the intense physical and mental stress associated with the wedding preparations.
The wedding was scheduled to take place in Sangli. Only the final rituals remained when the family made the difficult decision to postpone the event. Amita Muchhal expressed the disappointment of both Smriti and Palash, emphasizing that her son had eagerly anticipated bringing his bride home. Despite the setback, she remains optimistic, assuring everyone that the wedding will be rescheduled as soon as possible and that Shrinivas’s health is the priority.
The family is currently focused on supporting Shrinivas and Palash’s recovery, hoping for a swift return to health for both. Fans and well-wishers have been sending messages of support to Smriti and her family during this challenging time. This news underscores the importance of health and family amidst life’s celebrations.
