Galaxy S26 Ultra Low Light Camera Quality – What’s New

According to a trusted industry tipster, the Galaxy S26 Ultra will continue using Samsung’s 200MP ISOCELL HP2 primary sensor but with an upgraded F1.4 aperture. This wider aperture allows more light to reach the sensor, helping the camera capture brighter and clearer images in low lighting, something users have been asking for since the Galaxy S25 Ultra.

The sensor remains a 1/1.3-inch ISOCELL HP2 with 0.6μm pixels and supports advanced features like Dual Slope Gain and Smart ISO Pro. These technologies enhance dynamic range and reduce noise so that images retain brightness and detail in challenging environments. The phone can shoot in multiple resolutions including 12.5MP, 50MP, and 200MP, giving users flexibility depending on their needs.

Along with the main camera, the Galaxy S26 Ultra is expected to feature a 50MP ultrawide sensor with an F1.9 aperture, a telephoto lens offering either 10MP or 12MP with 3x optical zoom, and a 50MP super-telephoto camera with 5x optical zoom. All these lenses are set to include Optical Image Stabilization and autofocus for sharper images and steady video recording.

Samsung is also improving video recording with a new APV codec designed to offer higher quality visuals and easier editing. Combined with better electronic stabilization and more powerful chips like the Exynos 2600 or Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, the Galaxy S26 Ultra appears ready to deliver a major jump in overall camera performance.
