Google has started rolling out a fresh visual update for its Gemini app, and many Samsung users are already noticing the change. The new Gemini user interface gives Android phones, especially Samsung devices, a more modern, organized, and user-friendly look. This update focuses on better usability, simplified navigation, and a refreshed visual experience for Gemini users.
Fresh Design Highlights of the New Gemini User Interface for Samsung Phones
The New Gemini User Interface for Samsung Phones introduces a cleaner homepage layout. The greeting message now says “Hello [Name], Where should we start?”, placed neatly on the left side instead of the earlier centered design. This new layout makes the interface feel more personal and natural. Below the greeting, users will see pill-shaped buttons arranged vertically to make quick actions easier.
In the Light mode, the plain white background is replaced with a softer gray tone, which looks less harsh on the eyes. Meanwhile, the Dark mode now features a true black background, giving a deeper contrast and saving battery on AMOLED displays, something Samsung users will appreciate.
The primary navigation elements like the three-line menu, profile icon, and bottom navigation bar remain in the same position to ensure a smooth transition for users. On the Menu page, Google has added a search bar and a “Start New Chat” option with a message icon. There is also a “My Stuff” page that stores user-created images and videos, alongside the “Gems” section that showcases featured content with handy shortcuts.
In addition, the Chats list now neatly displays ongoing conversations, keeping pinned chats easily accessible. Google has redesigned the chat screen for simplicity, allowing users to start a new chat directly from the existing conversation view. The top drop-down menu lets you quickly share, pin, rename, or delete chats without deep diving into settings.
This visually appealing redesign is currently rolling out through the Google App version 16.45 for Android phones. Samsung device owners are among the first to experience the elegant and responsive changes in action.
