Samsung is speeding up development of its next mid-range smartphone, the Galaxy A57 with new Exynos 1680 chip. The device is expected to launch around March 2026, and early details suggest big improvements in performance, power efficiency, and connectivity.

Recently, the upcoming Exynos 1680 processor appeared on the Bluetooth SIG certification website, confirming its readiness for production. The listing mentions the codename “S6568,” which is being developed for Samsung’s Q7M model. The Galaxy A57 with new Exynos 1680 chip will feature Bluetooth 6.1 support, offering smoother connectivity and better device pairing than previous models.
The Exynos 1680 processor is built using Samsung’s advanced 4-nanometer process technology. It features an octa-core CPU with one Cortex-A720 prime core clocked at 2.9 GHz, three Cortex-A720 performance cores at 2.6 GHz, and four Cortex-A520 efficiency cores running at 1.95 GHz. This combination aims to balance high-speed performance with energy efficiency, helping the Galaxy A57 offer longer battery life and faster app response times.
Samsung’s latest chipset could also bring an AMD-powered Xclipse 550 GPU, which is expected to boost gaming performance and visual quality. The new GPU may deliver smoother frame rates and more realistic graphics for casual and competitive gamers alike.
Meanwhile, the Galaxy A57 with new Exynos 1680 chip is set to replace the previous Exynos 1580, which powered the Galaxy A56 5G. Along with better CPU and GPU performance, the new chipset is designed to provide improved AI processing for smarter photography and on-device learning experiences.
Samsung is also focusing on future Exynos chips such as the 2600 series, built on a 2nm process. This next-gen chip could be used in premium models like the Galaxy S26 and S26 Plus, allowing Samsung to challenge Qualcomm and Apple in flagship performance.
