The iPhone 17 has finally arrived, and after spending quality time with this device, it’s clear that Apple has addressed many long-standing complaints. This comprehensive handson review covers everything you need to know about the iPhone 17.
The most significant improvement in the iPhone 17 is its display technology. Apple has finally upgraded from the 60Hz refresh rate to 120Hz, bringing it in line with modern smartphone standards. The screen size has also increased from 6.1 inches to 6.3 inches, providing more viewing space.
The display now features variable refresh rate technology, enabling the Always On Display feature that was previously exclusive to Pro models. Battery capacity increases to 3692 mAh from the previous 3561 mAh. Apple claims 29 hours of video playback compared to 22 hours previously. Charging speeds improve from 20W to 40W wired, and MagSafe charging supports up to 25W.
The iPhone 17 ships with iOS 26, featuring faster animations and improved user interface elements. While some minor glitches exist in this new version, overall performance feels snappy and responsive.
Starting at ₹83,000 for the 256GB model, the iPhone 17 represents better value than its predecessor. The inclusion of 120Hz display, larger storage, and improved cameras justifies the pricing better than previous non-Pro iPhones.
